Equitable distribution

Equitable distribution addresses the division of marital assets and marital liabilities in all marriages, short term, mid-term and long-term marriage. This includes the division assets & liabilities acquired during the marriage, pension and retirement plans.  Other property issues include parties’ entering the marriage with pre-marital assets, inherited and/or gifted property.

Child related matters

Child related matters include time-sharing, previously known as “custody,” shared parental responsibility for minor children which includes decision making for all major decisions regarding minor children, child support, health care coverage, division of out-of-pocket health-related expenses, federal tax exemptions and child tax credits, and life insurance.   Child support is based upon Florida Statute child support guidelines, which include all sources of income.

Uncontested Dissolution of Marriage

Uncontested Dissolution of Marriage proceedings may result during a contested proceeding, or may commencing the divorce proceedings.  If the parties are in complete agreement for all matters, then the parties may proceeding in less complex manner.  Regardless, the parties’ assets, liabilities and incomes will be disclosed to one another as a part of the settlement.
